South Fylde Strategic Outline Business Case
AUG21: Fylde Council has been successful in obtaining funding, sponsored by the Local MPs, from the Government's Restoring Your Railway Ideas Fund. Stantec and Allan Rail have been commissioned to prepare a Strategic Outline Business Case (SOBC) for the South Fylde Line to improve transport services and infrastructure along the rail corridor.
This study is being undertaken in partnership with a wider client group comprising of Blackpool Council, Lancashire County Council, Network Rail, Northern Railway, Community Rail Lancashire and the Department for Transport. The development of a business case is in line with the government guidance and is the first stage in making the case for investment through the Restoring Your Railways Ideas Fund. >MORE |

Our Sister Station
Friends of St Annes On Sea
We are a group of local people who are known as Community Volunteers and we look after our local Railway Station in conjunction with Northern, ISS and Network Rail.
Network Rail owns most of Britain’s 2,507 stations and is responsible for their structural repair and renewal.
It also operates 17 of the largest stations. It leases the remaining stations (St. Anne's on the Sea Station is one of them) to train operating companies (TOCs) who take responsibility for day-to-day maintenance and operations, such as selling tickets and providing travel information.
TOCs have to comply with basic station requirements set out in their franchise agreements with the Office of Rail and Road.
